Uganda Safari – 20 days - Day by Day Day 1 - Upon your arrival at Entebbe International airport you will be met by your guide and transferred to a hotel in Entebbe for overnight BB. Optional activities in Entebbe include, a boat trip to the Chimp Island Sanctuary, a walk through the Botanical gardens and visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education centre, all of which give you different experiences. Day 2 - An early departure to Murchison National park, a lunch stop after which you will visit the top of the falls; here the Nile waters fall down through a narrow gap, creating a magnificent view of the falls from the top. Proceed on, for the overnight at a lodge/camp FB Day 3 - The early game drive at Murchison falls park, is famous for the big mammals, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions and more, the birdlife is amazing for both keen birders and normal tourists. Day 4 - Today you will travel to Fort Portal town, through the villages and beautiful scenery. You will have a picnic lunch and since this is a long drive you will arrive late afternoon. Relax for the rest of the evening, dinner and overnight a hotel/camp Day 5 - An early Chimpanzee trek at Kibale forest, Kibale national is a habitat for more than 10 primate species, which include, black & white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys among the many. After lunch you then go on for a swamp walk, where you will see lots of birds and through the historical places in this area. Return to the hotel for the night plus dinner. Day 6 - A half day’s excursion to the Rwenzori Mountains, going up the mountain up to at least 2500 ft above sea level. The mountain described by the early explorers as the “Mountains of the Moon” Overnight in Kasese town at a hotel plus dinner. Day 7 - After breakfast you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have lunch at, then go on the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel – on the cruise you will see hippos, at the same time also other animals drinking water. This channel is known for an enormous birdlife, not found anywhere else in the country, overnight at lodge/camp FB Day 8 - Early in the morning game drives, the big five can be seen through the drive; the crater lakes formed over the years and the salt lake – Lake Katwe; see how salt is collected. For the rest of the afternoon you may relax lodge, swim or go for an optional walk. Day 9 - Early drive to Kyambura gorge and chimp trek. Drive to the Ishasha region lunch and overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp FB. Day 11 - Today you will depart for Bwindi, through the southern section of the park, here you may see the famous tree climbing lions as the rest up in the large forest trees. You will have lunch and then go for a community walk through the near by villages. Overnight at a lodge/camp FB Day 12 - An optional gorilla trek today;(for the gorilla trek you need to confirm at time of booking) otherwise you will go on a guided forest walk through the huge forest, this thick forest has lots to offer, from birds, streams, vegetation and the landscape. Return to the lodge/camp for overnight FB Day 13 - Depart for Lake Bunyonyi this morning, you will arrive in time for lunch after lunch you will for a nature walk or a boat ride on the Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is gives a relaxing atmosphere and a breath taking view of the many islands that seem to cover up the whole lake. Overnight at a camp plus dinner. Day 14 - Another day at Lake Bunyonyi, get to see the local villages and the life style of the people in this area, plus get entertained by them local communities. Overnight at the camp plus meals Day 15 - Travel to L.Mburo this morning, Lake Mburo park offers a different type of bush savannah land, with mammals like the Zebra, the rare eland, bush pigs, bush bucks. You will get to know the history of the Lake and how it got its name MBURO, and a boat ride on the same lake. Overnight at a lodge plus meals. Day 16 – An early departure today for Jinja, a lunch stop en route and you will be staying at a hotel plus dinner. In addition to visiting the source of the Nile, the longest river in Africa, and the famous Bujagali falls – with all the ancestral stories attached to them; there are optional activities like white water rafting, horse & quad biking and many more. Day 17 - Drive to Entebbe time for the departure to the Ssese islands After 3 hours you will arrive at the white sand forested beaches of the islands. Overnight in Ssese islands beach hotel/camps. Day 18-19 - Two days of absolute relaxation, optional activities if you are keen, a birding walk, a community walk or forest walk. Otherwise the beaches are inviting for a sunbath and a swim. Day 20 - Return to Entebbe this morning, if time allows you may go for any optional activities of your choice, otherwise you get transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight.
