The peoples of Uganda are rated second in the world for being friendly. There will be a  genuine smile and greetings and waves to each other every day, as they walk by. Uganda has got over 50 tribes, who all speak different languages and have they own cultures respectively.

Among the tribes, the Baganda are the largest are settled in the central parts of the country, followed by the Banyoro in the northwestern part of the country. Many others like the Basoga, Bagishu in the east, Langi and Acholi in the north, while we have the Banyakole and Bakiga in the west and Bakonjo in the South.

All the tribes have different norms and beliefs that have been pasted on from their ancestors, and sacred clothing, particular food and crafts.

Day 1 - Arrival

Arrival met and transferred to your hotel, depending on your time of arrival, you have optional activities like visiting the historical tour around Entebbe and Kigungu Village, where you will see the rock that still stands today, now partly immersed in the Lake Victoria that was used by one of the earlier traditional healers as seat. From this later resulted in the name of this town – “Entebbe”.

Day 2–Kampala city cultural tour- Jinja

After breakfast you will go on tour to the historical places in Kampala and the surrounding, these include, places of worship, Kasubi tombs(burial place for the Buganda kings) and the Bagalayazze(burial place for Queen mothers of the Buganda kings) and Sezibwa falls scared to the traditional healers, then proceed to Jinja town

Day 3 - Jinja

Today you will visit the source of the Nile – longest river in Africa, bujjagali falls – get to learn the traditional stories attached to the falls, and visit one of the local schools in Jinja and take part in the day’s activities
as may be guided by the school authorities. Visiting the local schools allows you to get understand, how education is carried out in our country, and extracurricular activities. Your physical involvement or any information to improve anything in the school you have visited will add value to this trip.

Other optional extra activities include, quad biking, horse riding, water rafting, bungee jumping and many more for which you pay for direct as you may choose.

Day 4- Jinja-Kibale National Park

Depart for Kibale area, going through the towns and villages with views of the green vegetation and landscape, with a stop over the Bigo Byamugenyi, a historical place known for the super natural beings – Bachwezi believed to have disappeared mysteriously. Continue to Fort Portal town. Depending on time of arrival, you may have the chance to go site seeing, among which you may be able to visit the Royal Palace of the youngest King of the Uganda’s traditional kingdoms.

Day 5–Kibale Area

Optional Chimpanzee trek at Kibale forest, otherwise you will go a forest walk, with opportunities of viewing the different primate species; recorded are about 13 primate species. You will have opportunities of visiting the Batwa families from Ituri forest, and the Nyakasura hills and Ganyinamwiru caves which are believed to be the origin of the Bachwezi.

Day 6 – Kibale Area-Queen Elizabeth National

This morning you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National park, through the scenery of the Rwenzori mountain ranges, tea plantations and villages. You will arrive at King sher Kichwamba Lodge where you will be staying. You may go for an evening game drive later today; if keen and if time allows.

Day 7– Queen Elizabeth National Park

While at QENP, you will go on a game drive; with an opportunity to view Lions, Buffaloes, most of the antelopes, Elephants and the rare giant forest hog & many more. And again while on the Kazinga Channel boat cruise, you will not miss the hippos, and the enormous birdlife which includes both indigenous and migrants species.

Day 8 – Queen Elizabeth National Park-Bwindi National Park

Depart for Bwindi National park, doing a game drive en route through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth NP, where you have opportunities of viewing the famous tree climbing lion; after which you will continue to Bwindi. This afternoon you may be able to go on a community walk, visiting the local people and schools
in this area, entertainment by any of the groups, which include the Batwa tribe (pigmy community), school children & orphanages.

Day 9 - Bwindi National Park

Optional gorilla trek, an early breakfast after which you proceed to the park of ces for a brie ng, and then continue on for the trek. (We advise you bring with hiking shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirts for the trek. You are also advised to carry enough drinking water (2 litres per person). The lodge provides a packed lunch for the trekking. The trek normally takes a minimum of 3hours to a maximum of about 8-9hours) OR you will go for a community walk/forest walk today, while on the walk through the thick forest you will see streams, falls the landscape and most of all the birdlife that the forest has to offer.

Day 10 – Bwindi National Park -Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Bunyonyi, with through the highlands of the western part of Uganda, on to the beautiful scenery of the Islands on Lake Bunyonyi. A 5mins boat ride takes you to Bunyonyi Overland for the overnight. You will be entertained by the local community with traditional performances this evening.

Day11-12–Lake Bunyonyi-Masaka

An early nature walk this morning to enable you take in more of the spectacular views, listen and view the various bird species and enjoy the walk. Return to the camp for breakfast after which you will depart for Masaka. This afternoon you will visit a local school in Masaka or an orphanage, where you will have brief activities performed and you may join if you are keen.

Day 13–Masaka-Entebbe

This morning you may visit another community group, like the local women’s associations, get to learn about them what they do and why, and you may get involved as may be necessary, after lunch you will return to Entebbe,curio shopping en route if keen.

Day 14 - Departure

Today you will be transferred to the airport for departure ight.
