Situated in the northwest of Lake Victoria, the Ssese Islands form one of Uganda’s prime destinations. The major attraction in Ssese besides leisure is game fishing, in particular Nile perch.

The Ssese Archipelago consists of 84 separate Islands, some large and densely inhabited, others small and deserted, but lushly forested due to high annual rainfall in the area. Ssese islands can be accessed by either using ferry services or a motor boat that is taken from Bukakata landing site on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Visitors in search for a quiet relaxing place, swimming in the fresh waters of Lake Victoria and sun bathing have found this place an ultimate destination to find all the comfort that they need.


Day 1 Lunch will be served at mid day, after lunch proceed to catch up with a ferry in time. The ferry leaves at 2.00pm and your need to be at Nakiwongo before 1.00pm. and cross to Ssese Islands, arrive at the Island and check in at Ssese Habitat Resort for dinner and Overnight, two nights.

Day 2: Ssese Island

Have breakfast at the hotel then relax at the beach enjoying beach games like swimming, canoeing on the lake, cycling, nature walks, sun bathing, bird watching, sport fishing, primate walks, community projects etc. You will choose what to do and pay directly. Return for lunch and then just chill out at the beach in the afternoon.

Day 3: Ssese to Mainland

Have a Relaxed breakfast then board a ferry back to the main land. Relax in Entebbe, have lunch there then proceed to Kampala where you will be dropped at you place of accommodation.
