10 Days Uganda Safari to Lake Mburo, Bwindi, Kibale, and Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 1 – Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay. There are optional activities in and around Entebbe if keen and time allow it. Included herein – boat trip to the chimpanzee sanctuary, sunset cruise, nature walk, site seeing to mention a few. All are payable directly and your guide is in a position to assist you accordingly. Overnight at Airport Guesthouse BB
Day 2 – Today you will depart for Kibale national park, arrive in time for lunch. After which you may out site seeing, the surrounding area. Birdlife, mountain ranges, and beautiful sceneries are among those that you are likely to see. Return to the lodge for the rest of the evening and night. Overnight stay at Kibale forest cottages.
Day 3 – Chimpanzee trek, a briefing will be given by the park guides, who will lead you to the forest to start the walk from which you will be able to view the chimpanzees and many more primate species. The birdlife in the forest is enormous and quite an experience especially for those who are keen on birds. Return for lunch and during this afternoon, go on a nature walk. Overnight stay as above.
Day 4 – After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park, visit the Hot Springs, after this experience, continue on to the park, proceed to the lodge for check-in, have lunch and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Overnight stay at Kingfisher lodge DB
Day 5 – Park activities today include – an early morning game drive, visiting the crater lake areas – especially Lake Katwe – the ‘Salt lake”, where most of the salt consumed by Uganda is mined. After lunch, you will be going for the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, where you will view large numbers of birds and water animals. Overnight as above
Day 6 – Transfer to Bwindi park – “impenetrable forest” – you will arrive early afternoon, have lunch and if keen you may for a village walk, learn about the local communities and the surroundings. Overnight stay at Mahogany Springs FB
Day 7 – Gorilla trek – An early breakfast today, at the park starting point you will be briefed and then start the trek. It’s advisable to bring with you a small backpack to carry your personal items – sun lotion, sunglasses, lunch pack (provided by the lodge). Hiking shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt, a hat, and a light rain jacket are good to consider for the trek. Overnight stay as above
Day 8 – Depart for Lake Mburo park, a lunch break en route, and then continue to the park. If keen you may go on the late afternoon game drive, the animals are normally basking in the sunset and licking up on salts, an experience one cannot miss. Overstay at Eagles nest FB
Day 9 – Morning activities – nature walk and boat ride, after lunch return to Entebbe. Overnight stay at Airport guesthouse BB
Day 10 – You will be transferred to the airport in time for your departure – Otherwise, the optional activities can still be done, if keen. And then transferred to the airport accordingly.
