3 Days Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth national park, derived its name from the Queen of England, who visited the park in the early 1900s during her visit to Uganda with the now Lt Prince Philip. The park has vast wildlife, birdlife – especially endemic. And most of the crater lakes in the country are found in this park. One of the crater lakes known as Lake Katwe is a salt lake from which Uganda mines most of the salt she consumes. In this park there are the “twin lakes” – Lake Edward & George, which are a wonder in this part of the world, the two lakes are joined by a mass of water – the Kazinga channel.
Day 1 – Pick up and depart for Queen Elizabeth national park. Arrival will be in time for a late lunch, relax for the afternoon, with a possible evening game drive if time allows. Overnight at Irungu Forest Lodge FB
Day 2 – Activities include – an early morning game drive, a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel (the mass of water that joins Lake George & Edward) the channel is a habitat of enormous birdlife. Later visit Lake Katwe, to learn about salt mining. Overnight as above
Day 3 – Early morning – chimpanzee trek this morning at Kalinzu/Kyambura Gorge, have lunch, and return to Kampala. Drop off.
