Uganda is a major birding destination in east Africa. Given it’s climatic location and the natural features, she is a habitat to lots of bird species. From the tropical forest, savanna grasslands, wetlands, water bodies and mountains. All habitats to many different bird life.
While on this tour you not only enjoy the birding, but also the game, nature and the gorilla trek at Bwindi national park (the trek is an optional add on) if one is interested in seeing the great primates – the gorillas.
Among the rare bird species, are the Shoebill stork (mostly in the wetlands), Rwenzori Turaco (Mostly in the mountainous areas) the African finfoot – mainly sort after, Nahan’s francolin and more are found in Uganda. The bird lists range from 250 and above for all the various parks and areas visited.
