Coffee is the world’s most popular non-alcoholic beverage after water, and Uganda is one of the leading producers globally. With an annual production of approximately 2 million bags, Uganda’s coffee industry generates an estimated $600 million, contributing to the $90 billion global coffee market. The majority of Uganda’s coffee is grown by one million smallholder farmers, each cultivating on plots averaging 0.3 hectares.

This immersive coffee tour takes you deep into the journey of Ugandan coffee—from farm to cup—offering a hands-on experience of the planting, harvesting, and processing that goes into every bean.

Itinerary

  • 7:00 AM – Meet & pick-up in Kampala
  • 7:30 AM – Depart for Mukono District
  • 8:30 AM – Arrive at a coffee plantation & processing factory
  • 9:00 AM – Guided tour of the plantation, coffee processing, and a fresh coffee tasting session
  • 12:00 PM – Depart for lunch in Mukono town
  • 3:00 PM – Return to Kampala & drop-off
