Gorillas in the Mist, Mountain Gorillas are the sacred specie of primates that Uganda is lucky to have as part of our wildlife. These gorillas are found in the East African region, southwest of Uganda, Rwanda, and DRC.
In Uganda gorillas now live in various families in Bwindi national park and Mgahinga national park, and among the families are named as groups which include the Mubale group, Habinyanja group the very first two groups to be habituated and viewed by the public and tourists for a number of years.
Then other groups were habituated to make up the 12 gorilla families today that can be viewed by the visitors to Bwindi national park. An opportunity to go on a gorilla trek, through the thick Bwindi forest is a lifetime experience.
